RSO Student Leadership Program
2022-2023 School Year
The Office of Student Involvement offers Student Organizations Leaders the opportunity to participate in a leadership opportunity that will help you leverage your RSO position after you graduate! Students who complete the program will gain a number of benefits including receiving a certificate from our office, a LinkedIn Certification for their profile and exemption from taking the course in the future. Any Student Organization Leader that has been added to the RSO Online Resource Course can participate in the program which is designed to help you leverage the training you are already receiving and offer other opportunities to grow and reflect on your development. To participate, any interested student would fill out this form to be added to the RSO Student Leadership Program which is a section in Canvas. To complete the program participants would need to complete all quizzes in general RSO Resources Course as well as participate in the following leadership opportunities and complete the assignments. The program is designed to combine online learning (asynchronous) with in person or virtual (synchronous) development opportunities. Once you completed the program, you will fill out the following form to receive your certificate and LinkedIn Citification!
What do you get for completing the Leadership Program
-Certificate from OSI and a LinkedIn certification. Here is what it would look like on your LinkedIn profile!
-Group meeting with a LinkedIn Learning specialist to discuss how to better market yourself
-The ability to market your leadership position in interviews
-The development of key skills such as: Communication, Critical Thinking, Leadership, Equity & Inclusion, Professionalism, Teamwork, Career & Self Development
Timeline/Process:
At the beginning of each semester all RSO leaders will be added to the course RSO Online Resources Course. If you are interested in the program complete this form to be added to the RSO Student Leadership Program (which is a separate section that gives access to other assessments only for Program Participates). You can join the program at any time but keep in mind, some requirements have set dates that only take place in the fall semester. You will have the whole year to complete the course. If you do not complete the program this year, you can enroll in next years program and any work you completed this year, will roll over!

Unit 3: TCNJ Policy
Quizzes: Student Conduct for RSOs, Title IX & Sexual Misconduct
Participate in the Fall Leadership Conference or Exit Strategy Leadership Conference

Complete the Leadership Conference Video Reflection
Leadership Development Electives (2)
Choose two leadership electives that take place throughout the year. These can be offered by other departments. Options include OSI’s Risk Management Case Study Competition, Tabling at Lions Day/Accepted Students Day, FYI with OSI, Treasurers Clinic through SFB, Exit Strategy Conference.
Participants can also choose sessions offered at the College from other areas as well. If a participant has an elective they feel would qualify, please email simonj@tcnj.edu for approval.

Final Assignments: Leadership Position Reflection & Survey
After completing the above and reflecting on your leadership positions you will need to submit a final reflection and complete a skill assessment survey indicating your level of understanding of the competencies.
