  • 1. ALCOHOL AND DRUGS /a. No members, collectively or individually, shall purchase for, serve to, or sell ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES to any Minor (i.e. under the age of 21) while on Organization Premises or during an organization affiliated event, in any situation sponsored or endorsed by the organization, or at any event an observer would associate with the organization. More specifically, the possession, sale, use or consumption of alcoholic beverages must comply with any and all applicable laws of the state, province, county, city and College, and must comply with either the BYOB (APPENDIX A) or Third Party Vendor Guidelines (APPENDIX B).
  • 1. ALCOHOL AND DRUGS /b. No alcoholic beverages may be purchased or reimbursed through or with Student Organization funds, nor may the purchase or reimbursement of same for members or guests be undertaken by any member in the name of or on behalf of the organization. This includes, but is not limited to slush funds, pooled monies, charging at the door, selling tickets, and/or payments from an organization account.
  • 1. ALCOHOL AND DRUGS /d. The purchase or use of a bulk quantity or common source(s) of alcoholic beverages, for example, kegs or jungle juice is prohibited.

Sanctions:

  • Deferred Suspension effective January 2, 2020 through May 22, 2020 (Completed)
  • TIPS Certification – at least 10 members, including you, must become TIPS certified by May 24, 2019 (Completed)
  • In collaboration with a staff member from the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life, the organization must complete a detailed action plan directly targeted at changing the party culture within the organization and avoiding the participation in future conduct processes – specifically related to hosting parties and monitoring alcohol. This must be completed by March 22, 2019. (Completed)
